Ways You Can Help

The affairs of the Alzheimer Society of Kenora/Rainy River Districts are managed by a volunteer Board of Directors.  The Corporation By-Laws stipulate that the Board shall comprise of not less than seven elected Directors, plus the immediate past president.  All Directors shall be members of the corporation in good standing, and shall be at least 18 years of age, and be a resident of the Districts of Kenora/Rainy River.

At each annual meeting of the Corporation, Directors will be elected and hold office for a term of three years.  Directors shall retire and be eligible for nomination and re-election upon the expiry of their respective terms of office.

Board/Staff relations follow a policy governance model.  Thereby the Society's By-laws reflect a leadership model based upon "Carver" policy governance.
