Ways You Can Help

The Alzheimer Society for the Kenora/Rainy River Districts has established a Respite Care Bungalow in the City of Kenora - a multi story home like bungalow with an environment suitable for those who have mild to moderate Alzheimer Disease or a related Dementia - and is easily accessible for caregivers and their loved ones who they selflessly care for. The Respite Bungalow is available Monday through to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm. No week-end or over night respite services are currently available.

We need your help in providing funds to do the following projects:
  • enclose the property with a fence, so that our clients may enjoy the out of doors when weather permits
  • upgrade to our lower floor heating system, so that in a future date this finished space may be utilized more fully
  • new carpet for upstairs (administration) floor, replace carpet that is about 25 years old
