Alzheimer Society of Kenora/Rainy River Districts is depended upon the generosity of the people and businesses within
our communities. There are a number of ways by which you may help. A donation, supporting special fund raising
events, volunteering and by becoming a member of the Society.
DONATIONS - Make a Donation: All donations will be receipted. You may donate on-line on our home
page.
- Electronic Funds Transfer: Monthly donations may be taken directly from your bank account or by Visa/Mastercard.
Please call the Society to set up this process.
- In Memorial/In Honor Donations: You may designate the Society
as your charity of choice when a loved one passes away. A memorial card will be send on your behalf from the Society.
- Planned Giving: Planned gifts may help donors realize their philanthropic objectives while maximizing tax and
other financial benefits. Gifts may be directed to assist in research, support services and education. These gifts
may be bequests, annuities, life insurance, residual interests or remaining trusts.
SUPPORT
OUR SPECIAL EVENTS - Fund - Raising Events: These may be - Coffee Break, Pennies for your Thoughts Weigh-in,
Walk for Memories, Taste of Kenora, Motorcycle Ride Poker Derby along with many other special fund raising events. The
funds raised through these endeavors help to fund our programs which are free of charge to individuals and families.
- Third
Party Events: These are events which may be planned by individuals or businesses and have the support of the Society.
For example: a golf tournament or a barbecue. The funds raised would be forwarded to help the Society to do its
vital work within the Communities. The Society will assist in the planning of the event by promoting it through the
media, giving permission for the Society's name to be used in conjunction with the event and provide for volunteers as
needed to make the event a success.
